We have come up with a simplified approach to the filter gauges. This would be for all Wynn single stage collector filters. (35A Series, C Series, 9L, 9E and cyclone filters where plenum boxes are present).
A. Non threaded, 1-1/4″ PVC pipe cap. (Threaded will work).
-With a 1/2″ forstner bit, drill one, 1/2″ hole in the side.
-With a 1/4″ drill bit, drill one (1) hole in the top of the PVC cap. It should be centered. Using that 1/4″ drill bit, drill two (2), 1/4″ holes in the top metal filter end cap; one (1) centered and the other about 1/2″ “from it. Holes must not be touching.
B. One (1), 1/4″ x 2-1/2″ pan head bolt with a lock washer and two nuts or one (1), 1/4″ x 2-1/2″ pan head sheet metal screw.
C. One (1) nylon hose barb, 3/8″ ID, 1/4″ mip (10 mm x 8 mm). Using a dab of silicone sealant, screw it into the cap. Barb should not be facing downward.
D. Two or three cotton balls.
E. Ten (10) feet (possibly 20 feet) of clear vinyl tubing 1/2″ OD (15 mm) 3/8” ID (10 mm)
Procedure for installing:
Insert the bolt or screw through the top bolt hole in the PVC cap, pack the cap with cotton, run a bead of silicone around the lip of the cap and insert the bolt or screw in to the center hole in the filter end cap. Secure the PVC cap to the filter end cap.
